Recovery Disk
Started up a brand new M14xR2 today. Tried creating recovery disks but it stalls out and says it cannot create them when it hits 98% of the verify on 1st disk...anyone know what to do. Have tried this 3 times...

Hi drouss,
I request you to open Dell backup and recovery program then update it. Post that try creating recovery disc it should work.

If you are using the alienrespawn tool to create the recovery partition this may help you!

Hi,
This may sound crazy, but have you used the easy cd creater that came with your unit.
If not, fire it up and activate and update.
Seems this was causiing my M18x from completing the first disc just as you described.
Worth a shot.

What's crazy is that Alienware seems to not know that these systems are shipping with no recovery disks. I'm hitting my other hangouts about this news, I would search some and then phone Alienware about it.

Hi All,
Welcome to the Community. We are aware of this issue and currently working on it. I recommend you do a complete Windows Update, and then try creating the recovery discs. Let me know how it goes.
