tactx keyboard multimedia controller

So, just purchased a tactx keyboard. it totally rocks my world, and works great. the only issue, is, sadly, the multimedia control buttons at the top of the keyboard don't work. i mean, they light up. but when i press them they don't do anything. i wanted to check if pressing them was even being registered in the computer at all, so i went to the keyboard CI and went to make a macro using the buttons. none of them even register when i try to record them in the macro. i'm using windows 7 non-64bit. i'm pretty sure i have everything installed correctly (drivers, and all that). can anyone shed some light on getting the multimedia control buttons to work? i'd be super thankful! :)
