Touchpad disabled on Alienware 15

I got my new Alienware 15 the other day and started poking around.  I hit the key and noticed that the touchpad became disabled.  When I hit again (hoping that it will renable it) the touchpad doesn't get enabled.

I've tried to restart Windows w/o success.  Everytime I do the touchpad is disabled.  How do I renable it?

Actually that didn't solve my issue.   What solved my issue is that I clicked on .   On my Alienware 15 (Early 2015 release) the F11 key is labelled with "T-PAD".

You can try performing a system restore to a date when the system was working properly, it that doesn’t work then I will recommend you to uninstall the OSD driver and reinstall the latest one you find in the Dell support website under applications.

Let me know if that fixes the issue.

I just had this exact same problem. I'm alone right now in a cabin way up North and my <ADMIN NOTE: Profanity removed as per TOU> mouse died so I have to use the touchpad right now until I can get back to the city. Then the touchpad died when I accidentally hit FN + F11 and I was almost panicking there for awhile as I hit ctrl + t to open a new tab and search for answers and used the keyboard to get here. Hitting FN + F11 again fixed the problem. It was looking for awhile like I might not be able to use my Alienware laptop anymore and would have to resort to nothing but meditation while waiting for my chance to get back to the city in a week.
