Win7 only starts in safe mode - alienhead slowly changes color on failed startup
New Aurora R3 system about 30 days old. Windows 7. 1 GTX 460 graphics card, 4 GB ram
I was playing a game last night and the video suddenly went ghostly and froze up. Control alt delete to get to task manager led to the machine rebooting but windows didnt start.
Symptom:
On normal start the windows logo appears from the 4 small dots forming into the windows logo and then a blank screen. boot log shows that there are numerous device drivers not loading.
Booting to safe mode with networking works.
System repair doesnt find anything
Restore point and restoral from backup DVD (facrotry image) all compelte but do not change the behavoir.
Hardware diagnositics do not find anything.
Hoping this isnt a hardware solution but given that I have done a complete repair of the operating system this is not looking good
Suggestions ?

any beep codes? suggest U load up cpuid hardware monitor and look at voltages paying particular attention to 3.3, 5 and 12vdc. mem test is a very good memory checker that U can download free, burn to a cd then boot to it and will check all UR memory, let it run several complete passes and prolly want to give Dell TS a call to get the ball rolling...GL
