Hi!

You're right about the Motherboard problem. I recommend you send an email to alienwarehelp@dell.com and ask for information about the replacement. Make sure you include your Service Tag and contact information on the email.

My win 8.1 64 bit alienware X51 motherboard just crashed now it beeps one time. No warranty. Calling Dell for help is useless. They told me that they do not carry my 9k60c motherboard. Before they would send a tech out in my area I would have to by my own motherboard. Try finding this motherboard! I searched and searched. Finally found a company that has it but it is cash on delivery. Think I will refuse it when it comes and see if I can find as compatible motherboard. I would try it myself but I am not computer literate .I might be able to switch out graphic care, but motherboard?  Can anyone help?  Seems the only help Dell gives is providing forums. I am very disappointed with the service I receive through Dell. Have you ever tried to call Alienware tech support? All they do is read off the troubleshooting list, the same one you have access to online. I have already Read the troubleshooting pages and googled my problems by the time I call Dell. When I do finally call Dell I get a foreign person who passes me from department to department. I am going to take my computer to a tech repair place..  Please don`t buy a Dell product unless you can fix your computer yourself. Dell you suck!

Same thing happened to me last nite. Calling Dell is a waste of time. I updated my bios and computer froze so I shut it off. It turned on and stared beeping one beep continuously. I looked up the troubleshooting on the Alienware website and determined my motherboard needs replaced. Called tech support. Just to get the phone number of a repair company. Was told I had to buy the motherboard set up kit for 9k60c.  Googled for that motherboard. Try finding it? So I am off to a computer tech place to get a comparable motherboard.  Good luck with getting Dell to help.
