Alienware x51 r2 Upgrade compatibility - need info please help
Hi,
i have an alienware x51 r2 desktop and i wanted to upgrade.
these are my specs
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 645
6gb RAM
i think my power supply wattage is 180W
i wanted to upgrade my CPU an i7-4790k 4.0 Ghz Quad core, and my GPU to an Nvidia GTX 770
i am also upgrading my ram to 16gb. Some people have said the GTX 770 is too powerful for the stock x51 power supply so i was thinking to upgrade my power supply to at least 500-600W.
also i thought about buying a new case and transferring the motherboard and the new parts to that case to avoid overheating the x51 case.
i am new to building pc rigs so can anyone tell me a solution or info i need to correct any errors.
im looking to run arma 3 at ultra graphic with 50-60 fps at least,
PLEASE help me. BELOW are links to the things i plan on buying to upgrade. please check them out and see if they are compatible with the x51 r2 or feel free to recommend me anything. THANK YOU to all who help

Hi,
The highest GPU upgrade option that we can support for the Alienware X51 R2 is the NVidia GTX 660 or 760 (they are similar in performance). We cannot confirm if the GTX 770 will function properly with this system. For the PSU, the highest we recommend is 330W. You could also try posting this on the Notebook Review and Alienware Arena forums for assistance.
