Graphics Card Upgrade Help
I'm looking to upgrade my current graphics card. I mostly use my system for gaming, and have been extremely happy with the performance so far. I just wish it was a little better.
I have an alienware X51 desktop.
3.00 ghz i5 processor
geforce gt 545 graphics card
8gb ram
240w power supply
Right now im looking into getting a geforce gtx 560 or an amd radeon 6850. My main concern is whether or not i'd have to upgrade my power supply to get these to work properly, the price of the card, and if the card will fit in my tiny desktop.
From what ive found, the radeon is about $135 dollars and has a max power of about 127w. The gtx is closer to $170 with 150w.
I also enjoy the nvidia optimus technology, and was wondering if upgrading my graphics card to the 560 would mess with that at all. I assume that it wouldn't work with the radeon.
I'm fairly new to the concept of upgrading a pc, so any input is extremely helpful, as well as any suggestions of other graphics cards i might look into. Thank you!

Hey mate,
STAY AWAY from the gtx 560/amd 6850!
lol heaps of ppl who used 560's reported massive heat problems and power related problems after a few months.
The only "safe" upgrades right now for your build are the AMD 7770, AMD 7850 and soon to be released in august Nvidia GTX 650, 660.
These cards use way less power and produce less heat and will work no problems in your x51 :)
