Help finding Aurora R4 Part Number
Hello the fan on my Aurora R4 motherboard (Model 0FPV4P) is making a whining sound and I would like to replace it. It looks very easy to replace but I have no idea what the part number is so I can try and order it.
I don't even know what to specifically call this fan. It's connected to the SYS_FAN2 jumper on the motherboard. In the provided picture it is the fan on the left hand side on top of a heat sink. It's right underneath my video card installation.
Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

what's up Doc
north / south bridge chipset fans
I have my doubts this part has a part#, it looks like simply part of the motherboard as an 'assembly'.
Three screws, maybe take yours off, service it (clean it plus lube). There are numerous ways to back the blades off of a fan motor, some are easy, some difficult. Normally you approach the rear, peel the label back, remove the 'rubber seal' if it has one - or some simply pop off - but once you back the blades off, you'd clean it up, use Vaseline, sewing machine / razor trimmer oil, motor oil, baby oil, anything you have on hand to lube it.
Just don't ruin the fan in the process of blade removal, which is the catch to servicing a fan, esp. a small fan. Maybe you can lube it without blade removal, you'll know after you take it off. You have eBay link to basic chipset fans, keepo an eye out for a bad motherboard, buy it for $20/shipped and steal the fan etc
Thunderstorm rolling in here in Wash DC area, can't stay on board Doc, must shutdown. Good luck

Thanks a lot this was quite helpful.
You are correct they have no part # for this as it is included in the motherboard package itself.
I have to say I am a bit disappointed in how Alienware handles replacement parts, essentially making you pay for a brand new motherboard just to replace a cheap fan.
