Error when installing Crucial dataplex software
Hi,
I was running my Crucial Adrenaline solid state cache drive in my R3 with no problems.
When I now went to put it in my new R4, I get a message stating `The advanced cache mode is not available with GPT bootable target drive.
Is there a bios setting I need to change ... I'm stumped.
Appreciate any advice.

The Alienware X51 and Aurora-R4 both use the UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) which in turn uses the GPT (GUID Partition Table). Still researching...

Thanks Chris,
I have posted this problem on this site and a couple other alienware forums.
So far, only heard from you.
I even have sent 2 messages to Crucial, who makes the drive.
I mean if this has happened to me, there must be others.
Why did Dell go to a different system anyway.
Is it any better then the whatever was being used on my R3?
Hope you can find a work around for me.
Thanks again,
ken

Hi again Chris,
I got this message from Crucial:
Only MBR (Master Boot Record) partitions are supported.
GPT (GUID Partition Table) partitions are not supported.
Is there a way to convert GPT to MBR without destroying the data.
