15 R1, BSOD after installing Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework

So I have already fresh installed Windows 10 2-3 times. WHen I install Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework Driver, Windows just crashes with a PNP encountered an error or something like that. I even tried booting into safe mode to uninstall it but the BSOD still persisted.

Now I am fine without it installed but I don't really know what the driver does or what.

There is a similar thread on this forum for your issue. And that issue can be solved by the Dell assistants. They will reply to your message and ask you to explain this on a private chat.

So far I have not found out a solution to this issue.

Meanwhile, I advise you don't install that driver again. Don't until Dell comes with a solution for this problem.

Regards.

I have been having the same issue for several months and have decided not to select to install it again even though Supportassist says to. When I look at this in device manager it is showing 5 separate instances of the same identical driver number....not sure why which is very frustrating!
My official support has expired and I am now wondering if this honestly just a Dell trick to try to get people to reapply for continued support.
Cheers!
