The usual cause is either a defective plug on the DC side of the power supply, or a bad DC jack inside the system.  As a first check, verify that the center pin is straight and not bent or loose - if it is, try bending it gently so it's centered.  If that doesn't help, replace the adapter.  If the jack is damaged or loose, replace it.

Hi @Lucas Taormina  thank you for sharing an update.

It seems that this replacement battery is not accepted by your 15 R2. This is a known problem and users are encouraged to purchase only when the vendor says the replacement battery is of guaranteed OEM battery quality.

If the original battery required a normal end of life replacement, there is nothing to suggest that your 15 R2 has a fault. Try and reject/return this replacement battery.

Thank you!

I just ordered an OEM battery from parts people.com it should be here in a few days.

Thank you for the support. I have checked the power port with a multimeter and replaced the AC adapter with a Dell OEM but the problem is still there. The battery is non-OEM.
