The BIOS update is not the issue. You either have a defective DC plug on the adapter, or a bad DC jack in the system.
Check the plug on the AC adapter to make sure the center pin is straight and undamaged. That pin completes the communication circuit that identifies the adapter to the system.
If the adapter is damaged (or is still not correctly identified, next thing to try would be a new OEM Dell adapter -- if that isn't correctly recognized, the next would be a new DC jack. Is this a 2015 Alienware 15 model, or one of the newer Alienware m15 models?
I downgraded the bios from 1.12 to 1.11 and the warning sign related to dc adapter disappeared. When I update it back to 1.12 it shows the same warning sign. Also the same issue of FPS drops is present in 1.11 so I need to figure out a way to go back to 1.3 which was far more stable than any BIOS updates Dell rolled out. Or Dell needs to fix its BIOS updates.
The pin is undamaged and also I checked the output it is 19.5v. I also checked it with a new DELL adapter but it still has the same issue. It is Alienware 15 R2 different from m15.
So I checked the laptop again by removing the battery and running it entirely with plugged in. The laptop turns off after I launch a game. Could this be a power board issue??
