15 R2, shuts down while gaming. No temp problems. No Error Messages.

Hi guys, I'm lost here.

My laptop (warranty expired on October 24, 2016) is shutting down whenever I'm playing any game. Instant black screen, no error messages on bootup, nothing. I already repasted 2 times and changed the thermal pads once. My temps are ranging from 35C to 60C and when stressed, they'll reach 100C, maybe a bit past it. Already undervolted with ThrottleStop and my temps went down, so I know it's not a temp problem.

I have to note that my battery is dead and I have it unplugged, always, so my laptop is more like a desktop and is always connected.

When I repasted the first time, nothing changed, then the second time, I also changed the thermal pads. At the beginning I was able to play a few games that would shut my laptop down normally, but when I tried to play Valorant, it just shuts down. And now we're back to the beginning, instantly shutting down whenever I play any game. I did make sure to put a bit more paste than enough, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm using High Performance by Cooler Master and wondering if Conductonaut is going to make the difference, but with this I don't think it's a paste problem.

Can anyone help me, please?

I have a critical event 41 Kernel-Power that shows the times when it has been shutting down with no previous warning (on stress tests). On Errors I have more, but the most recurring one is 455 ESENT and some application errors, but don't know how to read them.

hmm, have you tried checking in computer management>event viewer so see if anything has been flagged up?

I tried everything and the problems persists. I'm running stress tests for each individual component and my CPU and RAM passed. Whenever I'm doing it for the GPU, it shuts down on the Wireframe stress test with temps around 65. So I guess my GPU is close if not dead.

Hi @VictorDomR  when using as desktop, with no main battery and running very demanding application, I guess that you may have encountered the limitations of Alienware Hybrid Power Design. Speculate that getting a more powerful charger could solve this use laptop as desktop problem. However, I am just a user offering a suggestion.

You should use the Event error code and search on the internet for a similar problem when using laptop as desktop.

I think it could be the charger not outputting the voltage requiered when on high stress. Unfortunately that Hybrid Power Design is a bit newer than my laptop. Mine is one generation before, R2. So that can't be....

I don't know if buying a new battery would fix my problem, I doubt it, also right now it's hardly an option...

@crimsomThanks, anyway!
