15 R3, broken by BIOS update

I, like a fool, tried to update the bios on my Alienware 15R3 tonight and it won't boot up at all. Sometimes gives 7 beeps and other times it won't even show any lights or just nothing. When will Dell/Alienware get their sh*t together and do something about their bios updates. Any one have an idea how to bring this laptop back to life. I'll try removing the cosmos battery tomorrow and see if what happens. Disgusted with Dell/Alienware and I have owned at least half a dozen Alienware laptops but I think this will be my last one.

Tried removing the cosmos battery for 30 mins and did not help at all. Out of ideals will wait to hear from Alienware Emily to find out what to do next. Laptop keyboard lights up and fans run but nothing on screen, oh well another dead Alienware laptop.

Hi Emily,

wsnors here let me tell you my sad story about the Alienware 17R4/15R3 motherboard I purchased to replace my motherboard with a non working AMD RX470. I came across a motherboard with a 7700HQ processor and a GTX1070 and replaced the faulty one with. It had over heating issues so I saw where the URGENT bios update would help this problem. Attempted to download and install new bios and it bricked my new motherboard. I was just asking if there is anything to help with this other than replacing the motherboard. That's my story and the Service Tag on the new motherboard is and thanks for getting back to me.

Emily I've tried to answer your questions several times so here goes again. No the laptop will not post to bios screen or to windows 10, all I get is keyboard lights and fan running fast. No control of anything after trying the bios update because it was posted as URGENT. This is a 15R3 laptop with a 7700HQ and GTX1070 so I would be very pleased if I could get it repaired. I've been a DellAlienware customer for at least 15 years.

Thank you,

wsnors

Yes I sold the motherboard for $125 and then installed another motherboard and sold the laptop. Now have a new Alienware M15 and I am happy again, very nice laptop and no problems.
