In order to allow overclocking, you must have a "K" CPU - such as the i7-7820HK.

You cannot overclock the HQ CPU you have -- not with the Alienware overclocking control, anyway.

What CPU do you have?  The ability or lack of overclocking option is CPU-dependent.

Its very od in the performance section of the bios it has no option to over Clock only a fan option thanks again

That is only for the GPU -- and I would be very wary of overclocking the GPU, since were it to fail, the entire mainboard would need replacement -- a very expensive eventuality.

Ok thats about what I thought too the fellow i purchased it from a year ago had it listed as turbo   Obviously still very green but I'm having some fun in the hobby getting my feet wet! Appreciate all the help its been very nice being able to chat with you on this subject!

This is odd... I have a similar model (i7 - 6700 HQ) and in my BIOS I have an option to enable CPU performance mode - as well as fan performance mode - that boosts my 2.6 GHz to around 3.2 GHz.
