15 R4, waking up from external mouse-keyboard

I have an Alienware 15 R4. I try to make it wake up from sleep without using the power button (I keep the screen lid closed and use external monitor). I have tried enabling usb from BIOS, and using device manager to make the usb devices power on the laptop but still it is not waking up. Any thoughts

You have to adjust the Power Settings. Open Power Options, select Additional Power Settings, Change plan settings and adjust Hybrid Sleep and Hibernation settings. Turn those off if you never want to use the power button to wake the computer.

I have an odd issue in which after I put my m15 to sleep, it just wakes up on its own. I've tried many solutions to prevent this but have not been successful.

Hi @Poorya0014

What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

Is the BIOS up to date?
