17 R3, format, install Windows 10 Pro
I have my son's used Alienware 17 R3 that I would like to flatten and install Windows 10 Pro on. It came with Windows 10 Home, so if I use the Recovery USB it's going to try and install Home.
Can I delete all the partitions on the drive and have the Recovery USB I downloaded from Dell for this laptop restore them?
Is there some way to force windows to install the Pro version and prompt me for a new license key rather than installing home and then doing an upgrade.

Welcome to the Dell Community @BillyEll
To upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro, you'll need a valid product key or a digital license for Windows 10 Pro for the device you're upgrading.
You'll have a digital license if Windows 10 Pro was already installed and activated on your device.
If you have a valid product key all you need to do is go to Settings, Update&Security then Activation.
Then click on "Change Product Key"
Enter the Key.
Upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro:

I have a license key, but Home was originally installed. I would rather do a fresh install directly to Pro. In the past Windows doesn't do upgrades as cleanly as a new install, so I was hoping to find a way to restore all the recovery partitions etc with Pro rather than installing Home and upgrading which won't touch the recovery partitions.
