17 R3, odd ram issue

Question

17r3 with 32 gigs of ram(2 16 gig chips). the ram works fine.....untill the computer has to be restarted at which point the computer only detects 16 gigs untill i reseat the chips. this only happens if i have to restart the computer. hibernate, sleep, whatever and it comes back with all 32 megs of ram even if its weeks between its fine till i have to restart it it started after i sent the computer in for power and physical keyboard damage issues. they replaced the bottom chassi, fan, keyboard, lcd cover, mechanical part? i guess the power outlet within the computer, cables, heatsink, lcd bezel, lcd panel, palmrest. the chips i have now are 3 1/2 years old and werent ordered with the computer itself so not covered under the warrenty ideas?

Just check that the BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date. It could also be an issue with your motherboard

i cant get the bios to update. every time i try windows crashes, but its always failed most windows updates

Have you run an ePSA by clicking F12 when restarting?
