17 R4, freezing at Alienware logo screen (during BIOS boot)
Hi there,
Laptop freezes during early boot, at the very beginning, even before I can access the BIOS (so nor F2 nor F12 will work). I am unable to access the BIOS and hence am unable to do anything.
I did change the RAM last week which fixed the issue for now but the loading bar on the Alienware screen does freeze sometimes and it takes 5-10 minutes to fill up and then proceed to load Windows 11.
Note that I do have Windows 11 installed on this machine even though it is not 100% compatible but it has been running like a char, for the last 6 months and as i understand this is not OS related since the issue seems to manifest during the BIOS boot.
As of now I am still able to use the laptop but that loading process is vey long and I fear that the next time I turn on the laptop it will no longer load.
Should I flash the BIOS? Or any other advise here? Could it be hardware related? Motherboard?
Thank you in advance for any advise.

Krozbit,
Are there any peripheral devices plugged into the 17 R4 that might be stalling the boot?

Hi @Krozbit welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
Support for Alienware 17 R4 Drivers & Downloads says Dell has not provided Windows 11 drivers for your device and does not support Windows 11 on that device. Microsoft provides hardware requirements to install Windows 11. Users can install Windows 11 on the Alienware 17 R4 and access support for other Alienware laptop to get Window 11 Dell Drivers & Downloads.
