17 R4, issues with Intel AX200

I recently replaced Killer 1535 with an Intel AX200 on my Alienware 17 R4. I removed all relevant Killer drivers/software then installed latest drivers from Intel.

Bluetooth is working fine but I am having issues with wifi. Although it can detect both 2.4 and 5GHz connections, it does not allow me to connect to 2.4GHz. I can connect to 5GHz but it randomly disconnects after a few minutes. I also tried to play with different combinations in the wifi adapter's "Advanced" settings, but issue still prevails.

Are AX200 chips even supported by Alienware 17 R4? Is this a case of a defective wifi card? or a driver issue?
