17 R4, part identification

LA-F552P is the board model

P03 is the part ID

Alienware 17 R4 i7 with geforce 1080 card

Any suggestions on part ID, or schematic with parts for LA-F552P rev 1.0 greatly appreciated.

It's the motherboard for Alienware 15 R4 or Alienware 17 R5.  There won't be a schematic publicly available.  The solution is motherboard replacement.  Depending on CPU, a new board can cost from $500 to over $1K

You won't find a schematic for free, but can purchase them for some models -- see https://laptop-schematics.com/

That said, schematics are generally of limited use, as parts are likely unavailable even if you identify what's faulty and have the tools to attempt the repair.

That's just crazy. $500-1k for just the mobo when the gfx card and everything else work fine. And people want to talk about global warming or litter? What a complete waste of quality products just so the consumer cannot fix a broken machine. I will continue to hunt down as the parts can be found on sites after I find the correct one. Thanks for your help, and hopefully someone will come through with a parts identification

Hi MiSTRFiNGA welcome to this free user-to-user discussion forum.

Please visit $100 Dell Laptop Repair | Dell Repair | Laptop Repair | Notebook Service Center (parts-people.com) They will first diagnose your laptop's problem and contact you with your options. Parts-people will always attempt to repair your existing parts before just replacing them, but if you do need parts replaced, they usually have them in stock. Most repairs are completed within 2 business days.
