17 R5, anyone with working FX Lights?
Hello all, does anyone have an 17 R5 with working FX Lights? I can't get passed the No alienfx devices detected error, so no lights on my unit.

When did you start having the issues?
Have you reinstalled the OC controls and the command center (Latest and Oldest)?

Started having the issue with the latest update, I installed older versions, but it auto updates whenever launched so it don't matter what version I install, no roll back options either

Yes, I unstalled with Revo , cleaned all left behind folders, registry keys, restarted. Reinstall an older version of AWCC that was working for me. I blocked the exe from updating. Still nothing no lights

Hi @RealDeuce similar problem with our Alienware 17 R5 Laptop. Many Dell customers are having problems with AWCC v5.2.91.0 Compatible Systems. Dell fails to support AlienFX v2.0 Lights Here. Incorrect AWCC code is causing this AlienFX 2.0 fault, much to the annoyance of many Dell customers.
We are all waiting for @DELL-Cares to be proactive and update the Dell AWCC code so that it works for all Dell customers.

Sorry for the incorrect observation @RealDeuce,
I forgot to mention how @crimsom found out its a programming issue.

Hi @DNLinj we have one year RTB warranty and last month told to send 17 R5 back to fix faults. Came back within 4 working days with Technician saying could not be bothered fixing Dell Quality Control problems. All replacement main boards have this fault. Our 17 R5 continues to be dark.
