17 R5, CPU clocking down with no apparent reason
Alienware 17 R5
Hey,
For some time now I have experienced framedrops of around 10-30 fps while playing bf 1. But these are not ordinary drops. The frame only drop after 15 min into the game. For analysis reason I tapped out and opened the alienware command center and noticed that my processor (and gfxcard) speed are throttling and even sometimes performing under their base clocking speed. Looking into the fan temps and component temps it appears it can't be thermal throttling. Also another weird thing is that the clocking speed is ramping up to the normal overclocked state just one second after being tabbed out of bf 1. This can be observed multiple times back to back.
I managed to get some screenshots with a timer and screenshots after the speed recovered.
I already did some research but didn't find any solutions. Any question on the german just ask. And here are some specs:
Speicher: 16 GB
Prozessor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz[Cores 6] [Logical processors 12]
Betriebssystem: Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Graphics Gard: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
I hope here are some experts who can help... Thx in advance.

In my view this doesn´t explain the extreme jumps between high and low clocking speed. Or does it and I just don`t get it?
Also the solution tab in the article you linked is blank.
[Sorry for the late answer. I didn´t see your response.]
