17 R5, Flash EEPROM on System Board
The Dell AWCC update has disabled all AlienFX LED hardware functions and our Alienware 17 R5 Laptop is now dark. The AWCC FX tab does not work. AlienFX 2.0 applications are not installed. There is no AlienFX Tester.
Has malformed AWCC code corrupted AlienFX EEPROM code on the System Board? Reinstating original version of AWCC fails to restore the AlienFX LED hardware function.
Where is the Dell / Alienware application to re-flash the system board's AlienFX EEPROM?

Hi @T-Troll thank you for your comments and speculation:-
AWCC also provides firmware update for FX device (check C:\Program Files\AWCC\Firmware). Seems like they soft-brick your device in one of updates, so it's no longer accessible. It's not possible to rollback device firmware if device not present into the system....
MAYBE, just MAYBE, BIOS update can also alter it, fixing broken firmware.
Another MAYBE - try to force-clear all EEPROM (open case, remove main battery, remove BIOS battery if present, push Power button for 30 sec, assembly back).

Hi @DELL-Cares our Alienware 17 R5 Laptop comes preinstalled with AlienFX hardware.
Did AWCC update soft-brick AlienFX EEPROM on System Board?
Will BIOS v1.11.0 update, fix broken firmware and get AlienFX Lights working?
Where is download for AlienFX Test application? (that dd not get installed by AWCC)

@Alienware Area-51 ALX 2006 , me and @crimsom investigate his rig, and configure out Alienware USBHID device gone completely from the system. As he mention, it happened after awcc update.
That's why i suggest it's a device firmware update issue. So the question is did it possible to force-update firmware for the "vendor-defined device` or just reset it to factory one?
I think alternative for him is full board replacement.

Hi @DELL-Cares when is the requested modification to the install AWCC application option to "install all AlienFX applications anyway" going to make an appearance? We are all waiting for Dell to fix their faulty install AWCC application.

I think you said before that it somehow soft bricks the eeprom so you can’t reflash it again right @crimsom?
