Please make it clear if you are online. Did you do the updates for hardware drivers. Dell has a wonderful support site that automatically searches for all the drivers for your specific computer, and allows you to download them.
Dell support at the Dell site. If this link does not survive the censor.
One of the interesting things about Windows Update is that some updates seem to never install. Actually the first part of the number is the same for about ten different updates that has the first part of the number the same. One for flash, another for Java... and so on. Leading one to think that it never installs anything. Actually M$ did the right thing, it would take forever for the install the whole ten updates( with the same first number) all at one time. However, if one goes to the M$ and gets the whole update, it downloads and installs pretty fast.
The other problem with M$ Update is that it tries to turn the computer on at night and look for a connection to do the update. If you leave the computer in a bag, it can overheat. Also not cool to wake up and battery is completely depleted. It is possible to deplete the battery so much that it will no longer take a charge. Every night I put my laptop on a shelf, and plug it in. I know it is possible to change the time of day when Windows 10 will search for connection to attempt update. Or buy Windows 10 Pro and turn it off.
Actually I support the idea that no one should be able to prevent updates. Else a few who do not update will continue to spew malware. So all the rest of those who use the internet are plagued by malware.
Please tell me how I missed your question. I am not exactly sure what you are seeing. I can only guess.

Microsoft has a site to download the latest version of Updated Windows 10.
Or, a single tool to update to the latest version if Windows is already installed.
