Alienware M15 (Thin) Incredibly Slow

So, we've all had that old laptop/computer that gets so run down that it runs at a snails pace, you open up and application and it takes 5 mins to actually appear, or you open-up a web browser and its takes 3-6 mins to fire up. Well that is what your brand new Alienware M15 is like out of the box.  I've had it a few months now and it goes through phases of being utterly useless, on start up it take 5-15 minuets before you can do anything. Chrome then take 5 mins to warm up before it responds, when you run applications nothing happens........... 5 mins later the program opens up. Any suggestions on if or how it might be fixed would be really helpful.  Otherwise save yourself some money and duck tape a 6 gb graphics card to the old windows 95 pc you have sitting in the corner of your office, will probably be a lot quicker.

Have you ran a diagnostics yet on the system. That sounds suspiciously like a hard drive ready to fail. Restart the system and at the Alienware logo start tapping F12. Run full diagnostics with an eye on the hard drive results. Other than that is your hard drive nearly full which could also cause some problems.
