Alienware m15r6 and m16r1 External Audio Interface. Is it TRRS or TRS?

I'd like to know which External Audio Interface does Dell utilizes in the Alienware M15 R6 and also in Alienware M16 R1?

Is it TRRS or TRS? I don't want to know if is backwards compatible, I want to know for which jack type is it designed for? 

I could not find this information anywhere, there's no documentation on that unfortunately. 

The reason I am asking this information is to know if I can get the best quality out of a RODE SMARTLAV+ microphone which has a TRRS conector and is known to have audio quality issues it the user attempts to connect to a TRS connector instead of a TRRS connector.
