Alienware M17 won't turn on
I've had the laptop for 2 years. It's been running fine. I use it primarily for music production and video games. I opened the laptop and the power button changes from blue to a yellow-orange. I tried holding the button for up to a minute. It doesn't make a sound, nothing flashes. The power adapter is working. This light continues to change from blue to yellow-orange even when not plugged in. I've tried leave it plugged in overnight. Nothing is working.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Hi @7homas welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Despite having the laptop for 2 years, guess that this system is the original Alienware m17 (R1) where R1 = Revision One.
Laptop with no battery is designed to function as Desktop powered by ac adapter.
Support for Alienware m17 Service Manual System diagnostic lights provides Troubleshooting information.
Please open base cover and carefully disconnect battery power cable from System Board (aka motherboard), do not remove battery.
The power-on button should stop blinking yellow and blue. Plug in ac adapter and press power-on button so that Laptop functions as Desktop powered by ac adapter.
