Reply to one of the DELL-Cares private messages with the Service Tag so we can know which specific model you have there. I will then update the thread title for all.

Hi @7homas welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum. This is not Dell Support. 

Despite having the laptop for 2 years, guess that this system is the original Alienware m17 (R1) where R1 = Revision One. 

Laptop with no battery is designed to function as Desktop powered by ac adapter. 

Support for Alienware m17 Service Manual System diagnostic lights provides Troubleshooting information. 

Please open base cover and carefully disconnect battery power cable from System Board (aka motherboard), do not remove battery. 

The power-on button should stop blinking yellow and blue. Plug in ac adapter and press power-on button so that Laptop functions as Desktop powered by ac adapter.
