Hi @AnkitGoyla welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

Thank you for sharing that SSD 970 EVO PLUS is showing in Disk Management as Unallocated. Please right click and format to create simple Data partition so that windows can use it and assign a letter to Data partition so that windows can see it.

Thanks for your reply.

I Tried assigning it by right click and then following the process. But after clicking on finish better at the end in the wizard window. My laptop shuts and show a blue screen error : CLASSPNP.SYS and then I restart my system and it shows unallocated.

Is it do something with RAID OR AHCI?

OR something else?

Hi @AnkitGoyla thank you for sharing additional information.

Sharing a picture of the blue screen would have been good, see following example.

Stop code: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. What failed: classpnp.sysStop code: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. What failed: classpnp.sys

Classpnp.sys is a Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) system file that Windows uses to connect and transfer data between plug-and-play (PnP) devices. It is included in the default Windows installation and does not point to any drivers despite its .sys extension.

Please run Check Disk to automatically look for and fix corrupt files on the OS(C:) boot drive. How to Use the Chkdsk Command in Windows (lifewire.com). Then Restart (not Shut Down) to save changes.

Update!

I have finally installed the SSD and removed the blue screen by changing RIAD TO AHCI which I believe my nvme SSD supports. After that, I cloned to a new SSD by using the Samsung data migration tool.

Now the issue is that my system is still not booting from a new SSD.

My new SSD is not showing the boot options.

I can only see options:

1 - Windows Boot Manager

2 -  Ipv 4

3 - Ipv 6

Please help!

Hi @AnkitGoyla Intel recommends keeping the RAID setting in BIOS, even when the boot drive is a single SSD NVMe drive, then please swap your original OS(C:) boot drive back in so that laptop function is reinstated. Thank you.

Can I switch it back to RAID after installing my new SAMSUNG SSD m.2 nvme on C Drive with OS on it. I changed my BIOS to ACHI because this new SSD supports it while Installation. Can I switch back to RAID now?
