It’s unlikely like what @ejn63 said so I’d wait until dell makes an Area-51m R3 that can cool those cards and supply enough wattage to it in case you want to overclock like the R1 and R2 revisions of the Area-51m.
The cheaper option would be when they update the graphics amp to a triple slot card design and then you can put the 3080 inside of the graphics amp to get close-to the same performance as the newer laptops but that’s my guess and not dell official news.
Even the desktop versions of these will not be available until Fall -- and nVidia hasn't announced the mobile versions, so it comes down to how soon you need the system. You won't see the mobile versions until 2021 -- if that's your time frame, then you may want to wait. If you need a system sooner than that, you'll need to weigh your options.

Don't go there. With Alienware overheating issues it will kill itself quite fast.

What do you mean @Vasqes?
They'll redesign the cards so it works in their laptop without any issues.
