Can't download most recent BIOS update on Aurora R8

Earlier today I attempted to download BIOS 1.0.12 on my Aurora R8. I went through SupportAssist and the update failed. I went ahead and tried updating it again and it got stuck validating, so i closed it. I restarted my computer, tried again, and nothing. I decided to manually download the file from dell and ran the executive file. It created a .sys file, but nothing else happened. I repeated the process, but this time on my desktop after rewatching the tutorial, and the same thing happened. Now I have 2 sys' files and am stumped on what to do. Any help is appreciated.

I tryed to down load the new bios and it bricked my system, it will not post, I've reset the Bios to the old version now when it tries to boot it will freeze. I have had two field tech here to work on the system and they have replaced the motherboard and the GPU. twice. same thing it will not work, was sent to the Depo in Texas to be fixed. got it back the other day and the same thing is happening. customer service says they will replace the system but only with a used one, and we have no system that match your specks. keep paying for a system the does not work and we may get to you is all that I keep getting.

Hi @MineMario101 never try and install Dell BIOS over the internet, that is just asking for problems and can brick your system. Visit Alienware Aurora R8 Support, Drivers & Downloads, to manually download BIOS update. The BIOS is a small file and these files shall be installed incrementally, one file at a time, so that all the BIOS updated features are installed. For example: Click on Download to get the Alienware_Aurora_R8_1.0.18.exe file stored on your Aurora R8. Then open BIOS Webpage to ensure the integrity of your download, verify the checksum value.

Hi @XDuckiex  not sure about your system reset status? What is your system Model and Revision? Does it POST to give Alienware logo splash screen with F2 and F12 options, but then fails to boot into Windows 10 x64 or 11 operating system?
