Dynamic boost

Dell G5 15 5500

Dell G5 15 5500

Hello everyone  I'm the owner of a dell g5 5500 rtx model as most of dell users know g series consider as low to mid range series of dell gaming laptops sort of cheaper plastic version of Alienware and this laptop (5500) cpu had/has some heating issues to the point that i just stop using intel turbo boost without cooling pad and turns out i didn't really needed it gpu on the other hand almost always maxed out to it's power limit and i did find out that something called nvidia dynamic boost can shift upto 15w from hot unusable cpu to cool power limited gpu with these days improvement such as rtx io and direct storage games are more and more gpu bound and i think dell should add this improvement to future bios updates

Hi @sasan3 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

My Alienware laptop's NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 does not have the Max Q Dynamic boost option. Consequently it cannot be included in BIOS/UEFI menu.

Hello and thanks for your reply i know gtx 1000 don't have dynamic boost but some of g5 series that have rtx 2000 gpu (like mine)are capable of having dynamic boost and some of them already have it but not g5 5500 apparently

I forget to mention as i know dynamic boost already implanted in Nvidia driver next step is for manufactors like dell and other brands to implant it in bios or vbios (I'm not sure)
