M14x R2, battery issues

(Very sorry for the long post) So around 6 months ago my father bought me this Second hand Alienware M14x R2 (which I am typing this on right now)It came with Windows 7 and the old user said that it was running slow lately and that the battery was not very useful as she always had to use it plugged in. She also bought a brand new battery and included it as she didn't know how to replace it. We upgraded it to Windows 10 the next day as there was a password and it was nighttime so she was sleeping and couldn't respond to our messages. Next, we ran into A LOT of driver issues and I had to install drivers using my phone but eventually I had it up and running fine, except it always had to be plugged in to use. We replaced the included battery and still we always had to use it plugged in. I have tried EVERYTHING on the internet but nothing helped. The battery health is 100% but its always at 0% plugged in and when you click on the battery icon it just shows the 'plugged in 0%'  icon and next to it is written ' 0%.

Please help as I literally just have a compacted desktop.

Also, this isn't very important but when I put in an SD Card, it fits and clicks perfectly but nothing pops and the driver fails to install.

Only my 2 cents, it maybe a motherboard issue. I don't want to make any bad recommendations but it maybe worth contacting someone who repairs alienware if it is a potential solution.

Thank you, might try that if there is nothing else that fixes it.

Have you tried using a different power supply? When you run the pre-boot assessment, what wattage does it show against the power supply? I think yours should be a 150W or 180W.

Also, just make sure the battery is connected properly and there isn't a bent pin.

I'm assuming one of the things you tried was a power drain? Unplug the power supply and the battery and hold the power button down for 30 seconds.

It said 90W connected because the charger was a random Dell charger lying around so I used it. It said it would charge slowly but not that it wouldn't charge at all
