m15 R2, no supported AlienFX devices were detected
Hey guys, so I downloaded the latest version of the Alienware Command Centre, but it comes up with the error message that 'No supported AlienFX devices were detected'. I know for a fact that my Alienware m15 R2 laptop is a device which is compatible with this, (warranty expired December 2022)
but I have no idea how to fix it. Because of this my fans are also now stuck at full speed because I can't change the settings! I appreciate any help you may have, whether that is recommending installing an older version of the Alienware Command centre etc.
P.S. I have tried reinstalling the Command Centre, restarting the laptop, updating windows, etc.

@L1nden Just to make sure that you are installing the correct version of AWCC for your system, have you entered your systems Service Tag in the Dell Support page? The m15 range of laptops does not support the latest versions of AWCC, with version 5.5.51.0 being the most recent one it can use. You cannot install the newer 6.0.xx version.

Hi L1nden welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
Please share Alienware m15 R2 (7/1/2019) operating system (Windows 10 64-bit, Windows 11, etc.).
The Dell AWCC application version 5.5.51.0 is not stand alone and allegedly its files are corrupted by Windows Update. Try using Revo Uninstaller Free to remove AWCC and then its Advanced Scan to remove all remaining files. Restart (not Shut Down) to save change to operating system. Run Dell SupportAssist. Wait a day before installing the Dell AWCC application again. Support for Alienware M15 R2 | Drivers & Downloads | Dell US.

@mattyb3 amazing thanks for your suggestion, so you think I should uninstall the current version I have then reinstall this version?

@L1nden Yes, You should use Revo Uninstaller to completely remove it first, just to be safe. See guide below.
