Hi @CZARLIE went to Dell Support for Alienware m15 R3 Drivers & Download and AWCC v 5.2.100.0 <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell> is the current update. Guess that this is the AWCC version that is loading and never installs.
Our 17 R5 is listed in the AWCC's Compatible Systems and is having the same problem. Loading has been active for more than five hours and does not complete. Our 17 R5 loading problem started with AWCC v5.2.97.0.
Click on Older Versions and try installing AWCC v5.2.91.0 or older versions to hopefully get the AWCC working. Dell are not fixing this problem in the next version update, so if you find the AWCC version that works, do no update it.
Hi @pdahat can you recall during first switch-on if the AWCC FX lights were working? If AWCC not working out of the box, and it has has been less than 30 days since date of order, advocate that this m15 R3 is rejected and a replacement that works provided.
Our new 17 R5 AWCC FX lights were not working out of the box and the 17 R5 continues to be within its first year RTB warranty. The 17 R5 was returned under warranty to fix these problems, but was returned within four working days with no fix and the warranty repair technician saying they are clueless what this problem might be. Unfortunately, this 17 R5 was not rejected within 30 days, and the AWCC always fails to fully load, or now, not load at all. Our 17 R5 is stuck in dark mode, there are no lights anywhere.
