m15 R3, clean touchpad without full disassembly?

Due to a small soda mishap, my left hand click button is sticky and barely clicks when I try to press it.

I need a way to clean it without full disassembly if possible because I don't have experience taking apart, and much less putting back together, a computer. And I don't have the money or time to find someone who can do so.

Any solutions or advice is welcome, thanks

Hi @MarsPolaris  welcome to this user to user forum. This is not Dell Support.

There is no risk free solution just working on external surface to remove residue substance from track pad air gaps. Not sure if excess electrically conductive soda liquid is still moving around and getting into internal parts. System disassembly risks damaging other parts.

Could try holding down the left hand button, inserting very thin dry paper like tissue into air gap and uplift to tease residue substance out. The risk is leaving parts of tissue behind, trapped in the air gap and the left hand button getting stuck in the on position.

If you start messing around the problem may get worse. If you leave it alone, normal use over time will probably restore its full movement.
