m15 R3, wrong keyboard
I bought a m15 R3. I upgraded the keyboard to the per-key RGB lighting. The keyboard I received has English and French words on it along with keys that have up to 5 different symbols on them. It does not look like the keyboard in the m15 R3 product images.
Dealing with Dell was an absolute nightmare and I lost a day and a half of my life being ping-ponged between customer service and tech support. Eventually landing with sales where I had to re-order (and pay for) a completely new laptop, and return the first one.
I just received the new laptop and the keyboard is the exact same.
When ordering the keyboard upgrade there are two different upgrade options with the exact same text. I’m wondering if one of these is secretly a European keyboard option? Since I ordered over the phone both times, I have no idea what option I have and if that is what the issue is, or if all per-key RGB keyboards have French translations and extra symbols all over it?
Can anyone help me make sense of this?
Here are photos of the keyboard I received and the multiple keyboard options on the Alienware website :
