Though docking stations aren't officially supported by Dell for Alienware systems, you can still use one, but with one exception: you must use the original power adapter at all times. No docking station of any type will be able to power your system -- it needs 240W, which can only be supplied by the original adapter.

Thank you for your answer!
Just to make sure if i understood it correctly. I can use docking station in terms of having my externals keyboard/monitors etc. plugged in and connect it via thunderbolt i guess? However my power cord will still have to be plugged directly into laptop not docking station?

That's correct. The power situation might change in 2024 with the advent of Thunderbolt 5, which is supposed to support 240W power delivery -- but that'll be a new generation of systems.
