Alienware m15 R4
m15 R4 Fan noise. The fan on the right of the Alienware emits a harsh noise every 9 seconds like the fan starts to spin and then stops suddenly, making a clicking sound. Fan noise happened after the GeForce driver update and Windows update. Then I updated the new Alienware m15/m17 R4 System BIOS (1.18.0), and the problem still existed.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Do not install BIOS update just because a new BIOS version is available. Laptop BIOS update instructions | DELL Technologies.
From your opening post the Alienware m15 R4 (1/26/2021) vents and fans have accumulated dust and debris which should be removed. A can of dry air or fine brush can be used. If the accumulated dust and debris is substantial, carefully use a Small Hook Probe.
