m15 R5, GPU overheating, how do I cool it?
Greetings all, I'm am trying to find any and all ways to keep this RTX 3070 cool when gaming. While playing COD I load into a match and the GPU instantly rises to 86C and thermal throttles. Sometimes if I ignore it and keep gaming it causes crashes. I bought a thermal pad, keep it raised off my desk service and I can get through most of a match without it reaching 86 but towards the end of the game it still happens. After running some tests this laptop consistently sits between 80 and 84C while loaded in a multiplayer or warzone match. I can't be the only one having GPU heating issues with this thing? Got it for a good price and don't wanna get rid of it so how are you guys keeping this thing cool? Fans already on max but they basically do nothing btw.

i run my 3070 at balanced settings , balanced power , in game im pretty modest and usually run medium to high settings , i dont push over 40- 50 in eve but that's not as demanding as what your playing , i do run a cooling fan but dont think it makes all that much difference on an x17 r1 . i don't run 360 refresh rate i try to run 60 for most part and lock it down to 60 fps with gsync ..
