m15 R7, AWCC not showing keyboard option under FX tab

My Alienware keyboard is stuck to one color and I can’t change it in AWCC. I’m able to change the color of the back RGB lights but it isn’t showing the keyboard option. I tried updating AWCC, repairing it, uninstalling and reinstalling and so far there’s been no solution.

The only solution is to clean install windows 11.

I've done it and finally i can change everything.

It sounds like you're having an issue with the Alienware Command Center (AWCC) not showing the keyboard option under the FX tab, which is preventing you from changing the color of your Alienware keyboard. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check for updates: Make sure that you have the latest version of AWCC installed, as older versions may not support your keyboard. You can check for updates in the Microsoft Store or on the Alienware support website.

  2. Check compatibility: Verify that your keyboard is compatible with AWCC. Not all Alienware keyboards are supported by AWCC, so check the documentation that came with your laptop to confirm.

  3. Restart the service: Restart the AWCC Windows Service by pressing the Windows key + R, typing "services.msc" and pressing Enter. Find the Alienware Command Center Windows Service, right-click it, and select "Restart."

  4. Reinstall drivers: Uninstall the keyboard driver in Device Manager, restart your computer, and then let Windows reinstall the driver automatically.

Sorry, I'm now reading again the title and it is misleading.

It's the laptop keyboard, not external.

English isn't my first language so sorry

I have the same issue. I had turned off my Alienware M15R3 laptops keyboard lights. Last year after I updated my windows, I stopped seeing the Keyboard option under AWCC Fx. Now I cannot turn the laptop keyboards lights on at all. Tried uninstalling AWCC and reinstalling the latest version. Did not help. Looked for a solution on Dell support site but did not find anything.

See attached image. Only gives me an option to change the stadium and power button lights. As you can see my keyboard lights are off. I have also checked the Go Dim/Go Dark options and none of them are selected.

I am facing exactly the same issue, and it didn't go away after reinstall. Actually I reinstalled my OS twice, but the problem persists. I finally gave up ... this is the most frutrating thing ever after I got this laptop (M15R7).
