m15 R7, BIOS 1.28.0, power button flashing 2 red, 7 blue
Dear Dell Support,
I recently updated the BIOS on my system to the latest version (1.28.0), which was released on October 29, 2024. After the update, I began experiencing a peculiar issue where the power button flashes 2 times red followed by 7 times blue.
Prior to this BIOS update, everything was functioning normally, and there were no such issues. The system was stable and operational. However, after updating to BIOS version 1.28.0, this flashing pattern started appearing, and the system does not appear to be booting properly.
Could you please assist in diagnosing and resolving this issue? Any guidance on troubleshooting or next steps would be greatly appreciated.

@Chino de Oro This issue has been fixed, after going back to the older version of Bios. Latest Version Bios 1.28.0 release date 29.10.2024 has issue of power button flashes 2 times red followed by 7 times blue on Alienware M15 R7 Models.
The issue was resolved after going back to the older version 1.27.0 release date 23.09.2024 =

To contact Dell support for assistance with diagnosing the issue, you must click on Get Help Now button on the lower right of this screen and providing your system service tag (do not post it here). After the warranty status is ascertained or a paid software support is arranged, an agent will be assigned to assist you with troubleshooting the issue.

I have the same exact problem with my Alienware m18 r1. Of course the warranty expired 6 weeks ago.
When system is "active", I am getting 3 or 4 quick flashes, followed by about 13 quick flashes. This pattern repeats.
When the system has turned off the monitor (but its still on) I get 2 reds, followed by 7 blues.
Will rolling back the bios fix this for the Alienware 18 m18 r1? If so, where do I get one for MY machine?

@RSin2 , for a different system model, it may or may not be the same issue as OP. If you open a new thread, it should gain better attention and you will receive the inputs there.
