m16 R2, help with WiFi connection
Hi guys.
I'm having a problem and I'd like to see if you can help me. I've got a new laptop last December, and I'm having a bit of a problem with my internet. I currently have a connection with two available frequencies (2.4GHz and 5GHz).
When I use the laptop in my bedroom, with the door closed, the connection is absurdly slow, on either frequency. I've tested it in other rooms and with the bedroom door open, and the speed is ok, but if I close the door it's very slow.
The point is that the modem is in a room in the "middle" of the apartment, which isn't very big. Even in different rooms, the modem would be about five meters from where I use my laptop in my bedroom. In my bedroom I normally use the TV, cell phones and my old laptop, with a good connection speed even with the door closed, so the problem seems to be with this new laptop. I've reinstalled the most up-to-date wifi drivers and deleted the Killer Control Center, but nothing seems to work.
Even with a closed door, the distance is too short to have this level of interference.
Could it be that the problem really isn't with the laptop or that there's something to be done in the modem? Can someone help me out here? I don't know what to do?
English is not my native language, so I apologize for any misunderstandings.

@Sydneyblue hi, thanks for the reply!
No, only the Alienware. My smartphones, my television and my old Acer works properly in the room, even with the door is closed.

@VBVargas It sounds like the card strengh is not very good. I have yet to test my m18 wifi card because my wifi router is less then 10 feet away
Mine is Killer (TM) Wifi 7 Be1750x Is that card swapable in your machine ? Or maybe some ISP provide plug in pods that increase signal strength

After massive searching and not getting results by talking to tech support at Dell... i found this online and my vpn i guess was causing interference in some way, but apparently this is the main issue as per reddit and i will contact Dell tech support once again for this.
NOTE: I have not attempted to do it, however, i will bring it up to tech support.
"The issue is not with the laptop, it is with ALL Dell laptops as they insist on using the Killer Networks WiFi instead of the plain Intel (even though they're the same hardware just with a different firmware). The AMD variants don't have this issue as all AMD variants use a MediaTek or Qualcomm WiFi card.
Just disable the Killer Services and uninstall the Killer Control Center and your issue is solved"
