m17 laptop not connecting to internet

Got a m17 laptop that I've had since probably 2020.  It suddenly is not connecting to internet.  I've tried with WiFi and Ethernet cable.  My network shows the laptop.  But m17 keeps saying no Internet connection.  I cannot figure out how to resolve.

You can approach this from two angles:

1. Determine the status of the network signal light, the Ethernet port has green and orange lights:
1) The green light is the connection indicator, when lit, it indicates a normal network connection.
2) The orange light is the signal indicator:
a) Flashing: Normal signal;
b) Off: No signal;
c) Steady on: Signal short circuit.

2. Locate the network adapter in your computer's Device Manager, uninstall it, and then restart your computer.

This is what the mokin brand customer service representative taught me, and it successfully resolved my issue that computer couldn't obtain network connection via Ethernet cable, hope can help you!

Well do the following:

  • Check IP address
  • Reset Windows network stack
  • Disable IPv6
  • Check network adapter drivers
  • Check proxy settings
  • Well Check BIOS

Hi

I would try a few commands to establish .....

IP address, Default Gateway etc.

Like the example above.

Common factors are the default Gateway, the DNS servers.

So if you type

ipconfig -all >>C:\conf.txt   (ipconfig /all perhaps)

there is a possibility that all the details will be created in a TXT file you can open, copy and paste with NotePad.

If in doubt please ask.
