m17 R2, Philippines repair options?
So i've posted a problem before and got no where i've tried asking every available laptop repair shop in my area during this pandemic and they can't fix alienware laptop because the graphics card is built in with the motherboard or something. Since its been 11 months of having a gaming laptop that can't even game I do not know if there is a place within the Philippines i can have it fixed. It was bought in the USA. I had the warranty moved or migrated to the Philippines and now I'm being told that I have to have the warranty moved to India? Why India though when I'm in the Philippines? Right now I'm really fed up and tired this laptop cost 2k dollars in the USA and I can't even have it repaired when I got it for Christmas back 2019. Can anyone tell me how to fix the graphics card of an Alienware m17 R2 that doesnt involve computer system or recommend a place here in the Philippines that fixes alienware products?

Will update when i can find someone to clone my OS's which might take a while since both start of online classes and the constant need to always use this laptop for school work will create another post when updated for now i'll consider the multiple options. Thanks for all the help and multiple options to repair my laptop guys

I don't even know if its possible to buy a replacement graphics card for the alienware laptop since i can't even find anything related to it. The warranty ends this Feb 13 2021.

You cannot "fix" or replace a GPU in the 17 R2. The GPU and CPU are both soldered to the system board in this model -- if either fails, the entire system board needs to be replaced.
As for the warranty, is this model sold in the Philippines? If it is not, regardless of any ownership transfer, there's no parts or service availability. It will need to be returned to the US for repair.

Hi @Dhe Jhay your other post says m17 R2 has bluescreen GPU problem and apparently you now want to replace the system board. There is a YouTube video Alienware m15 & m17 - Full Disassembly Guide that shows the process.
However, you should concentrate on fixing your m17 R2 Windows 10 Operating System. As there is no clone of the original OS (C:) driver, get a replacement NVMe driver card with the operating system already installed. This replacement driver card does not have to be new, so get it from ebay, amazon, etc. When installed, Windows Update will get all the updates for your model, and SupportAssist will tell you which Dell Applications are "missing". When your m17 R2 is fixed, create a good clone so that it can be swapped-in within minutes to get system working again.

Hi @crimsom i thought at first blue screen had done something wrong so i searched and had online help from multiple sources once i exhausted that option i opted to go to local laptop repair shops like pc express and sst laptop repair shops they said they can only 'burn' or overheat or something the video card but that might result in a worse situation than what i have today. I discussed with a tech support that since they don't have support in the Philippines i can go to a authorized dell seller in Manila (
) to have it repaired or parts replaced but during pandemic that's impossible to do since there are no public vehicles headed to Manila. Packaging is unreliable here in the Philippines sometimes. But i will try your method from amazon and ebaycrimsom

Hi @Dhe Jhay thank you for sharing update.
A blue screen can be generated for many reasons. The build quality of computers has reduced the risk of hardware failure. Onboard troubleshooting diagnostics has improved fixing faults.
Looking at your first post in the Dell Community, your drive has been 'repaired' and that is all the history we know. There is a low risk that a new computer could have a hardware problem soon after purchase. Your first post says that there was a blue screen problem within weeks of purchase and you were forced to reformat the drive. Hopefully that is the only 'correction' undertaken and nothing else has been touched. The response in your first post was to recommend you create a bootable drive and there has been no subsequent update.
The Dell Community user to user forum has now been contacted for a second time, and somehow the onboard troubleshooting should be undertaken to try and reveal the root cause of the original blue screen.
Can you recall what the blue screen said or post an image?

So the only way to have my laptop repaired is if i go to a local dell supplier have checked and have the parts replaced and since it isnt warrantied here in the Philippines i got to pay for the parts replaced and they have to have the parts ordered so it may take up to 3 months. so I can only have my alienware repaired after the pandemic. Down below are a few of the dozens of BSOD's

Hi @Dhe Jhay thank you for sharing update complete with images. This user to user forum is not Dell Support.
"FAIL PSA V4220 10 Error 2000:0155 Hard drive not installed" says your hard drive has or is about to fail. This will also cause other failure diagnostic messages and blue screens, but the root cause is always the hard drive fault.
You can fix this problem now, if your system:-
(Option 1) is occasionally starting normally, create a clone Windows 10 OS (C:) hard drive before you loose this capability.
(Option 2) never starts normally, use your other computer or ask a colleague to create a clone Windows 10 OS (C:) hard drive. Or purchase a replacement hard drive preinstalled with the Windows 10 Operating System.
Please share an update. Thank you.

From the looks of it, your laptop is in greate condition as it can POST and boot to windows.
Now I would suggest for you to :
1) Restore BIOS to Default settings
2) replace your RAM sticks.
3) Replace your current boot drive (Reinstall windows).
Then, see if BSOD no more.

Hi @Lunetrix thank you for joining the conversation. We are curious about your recommendations.
If the m17 R2 is in great condition, why is it necessary to:-
a) replace the RAM cards (which are usually very reliable)?
b) roll back the BIOS (which may be on factory setting anyway)?

The laptop itself is in great condition for the reason being he doesn't have problem with major components ( motherboard, CPU, GPU and screen). The laptop has no problem in POST and capable of booting to windows and able to see what's on the screen.
That said. He is left with either Bad memory sticks, bad drive or bad bios settings.

Hi @Lunetrix thank you for sharing update.
@Dhe Jhay has responded with the clarification that the m17 R2 is currently being used and many POST blue screens appear which prevent system boot. The diagnostic event log image that they provided says, the system has problems finding the hard drive. So there is no requirement to get replacement RAM cards or roll back the BIOS.
