m17 R2, update packages not installing
Alienware m17 r2, wont install any driver updates. ii deleted my Command center and have been trying to re i-install it but to no avail. tried installing the earliest version on the dell support site and it still doesn't work. Tried to install some other updates and it just keeps giving the same error. "The update installer operation was unsuccessful." This is the installation log for the command center.

Hi @ok-pop welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Is this Alienware m17 R2 currently under a valid Dell Warranty, and is it still within the first 30 day approval timescale?
Please let forum users know your Operating System, is it Windows 11 x64 or Windows 10 x64 or other? If Windows 10 x64, which version is installed, the most recent version is 21H1.
Please install Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes All-in-One July 2021.
Support for Alienware m17 R2 Drivers and Downloads says the current update for the Alienware Command Center Application (AWCC) is version 5.3.2.0 (and the version in your log). This update includes the AlienFX 2.0 application, and there is no Dell troubleshoot for this application.
Are all the other Dell updates installing successfully? Is there some reason why installation of the AWCC application is required?
Please install the AWCC version that was installed at the factory on your m17 R2. You know that this AWCC version works before any updates were installed. If there are AWCC installation problems, please select the Operating System Restore Point to revert the system back to when the AWCC was working.
If the OS(C:) boot drive is a new upgrade, please swap out and swap in the original OS(C:) boot drive.

I've had this same issue for almost a year and a half. I've called the numerous times to try to resolve the issue with no results. My guess is that an operating system service by Dell is running on the system that the technicians have not deleted. Another possibility is that not all of the files have been deleted from the previous uninstalls the techs have gone through.
