m17 R3, Alienware 310H headset mic not being detected

I have an Alienware m17 R3 and the Alienware 310H headset. I think I might've set it up the wrong way, and windows is saying the microphone is not there at all. Whenever I remove the devices list and plug it back in, my computer immediately recognizes it and adds it back. I want to switch it to a headset, since I think the microphone will work once I do that.

Thanks, mattkepp29

To what software are you referring? I do not see any software on the AW310H Alienware Gaming Headset driver page?

This document (AW310H Alienware Gaming Headset Usage and Troubleshooting Guide) under troubleshooting states =
Q: Why can I not see my headset on AWCC?
A: AWCC (Alienware Command Center) does not support Alienware Stereo Gaming Headset AW310H.

The Alienware 310H Stereo Gaming Headset User Guide does not mention any additional software?

Based on those, this sounds like Windows 10 is in charge of seeing the headset mic, then the audio driver is used to set it as the default Input device?

You have to install the software for it and set it up again.

That should fix it.

I meant the AW Command center that the new one is because it supports all the modern hardware that alienware makes.
