M17 R3 BIOS Version Question
Hi - I have the above system running Windows 10. I resigned myself to stuff not working because it is unsupported at that OS. However, I noticed that there appear to be BIOS updates available. Sysinfo says my BIOS is "Alienware A12, 08/20/2012" yet I just downloaded "Alienware_15R2_17R3_1.6.1.EXE" which appears to apply to my system. I'm not sure I trust it. Why are the version numbers different? There is an entry "SMBIOS that says 2.7". Is this applicable? What is going on?
