m17 R3, no bootable devices issue
Hello,
I have owned my m17 R3 for just over a year now with no issues until this week. I use this laptop for both gaming and university, and I have a variety of games installed including, but not limited to, SCP Secret Laboratories (SCPSL), Genshin Impact and Phasmophobia.
This week I have had issues with blue screening or my laptop freezing followed by the Pre-Boot System Performance Check. This result gives the following message:
"Hardware scan complete with no issues. No bootable devices found. Possible causes could be a corrupt OS image of a boot device is not enabled in BIOS setup".
I've ran multiple different diagnostic tests over the past few days with no problems coming back. The crashes usually happens when I'm in game on SCPSL, however it has crashed a couple times on Phasmophobia, and a couple times on Genshin Impact, both of which occured on the same day (Sunday). Though this seems to have stopped and it now seems to be isolated to this one game. I don't have issues with it crashing when not in game usually, and I had my computer running from 1pm to 5am yesterday with no issues. I'm very unsure as to what the issue could be, with my only ideas being related to a new Windows update, SCPSL itself, or an overheating issue. I run on the cool fan setting and use a cool pad though. However I'm not sure if it is just due to the one game as it has crashed a couple other games on one day, so I am unsure as to what this could be in relation to.
Any ideas will be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm having this issue too, but with a different game entirely. Death End Re;Quest.
I have yet to play a second game since starting my Death end playthrough so will find out if it extends to future games, but looking at this causes me to believe its a model-specific issue as we are both using M17 R3s...Keeping an eye on this in hopes of answers.

Sunday...yes. When you're running the machine hard.
I use a mesh laptop stand. You could try setting the cooling performance settings to a more aggressive setting. You're fans will fire up more often.
I am assuming you have the latest Bios from Dell. As well as Intel and Microsoft.
