m17 R3, reading low upload speeds

Hey, I did a speed test on my laptop (m17 r3) and it consistently reads low upload speeds of < 5 mbps. I conducted these tests on ethernet and wifi(whilst near to the router) and it always produced low speeds. Testing the speeds on my other laptop/phone/pc produced accurate results of about 25mbps. I've updated windows, update drivers via support assist, however nothing changed. Any help? This is affecting my upload speeds for files + ping to servers greatly

Update. This is a SmartByte problem. SmartByte isn't even installed.

Hi @Kirill17 many users are reporting problems when the unstable SmartByte application was installed on their PC. Please go to the Beware of SmartByte post for help on how to eradicate this nuisance. It seems there are some SmartByte application leftovers on your PC. An Uninstaller should be used to remove all of the SmartByte application leftovers.

Hi @Kirill17  please share how you know that this is a SmartByte problem.

Did you go the Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management and open Event Viewer to see something in one of the Custom Views?

Hi @Kirill17  you started this thread by saying both the ethernet and wi-fi speeds are struggling to get 5Mbps compared to your other devices that are getting 25Mbps. Apparently the fault is not obvious. The Event Viewer logs should say that there is a problem and provide a Windows error code. This will then reveal if it is a hardware, firmware, hardware, etc. fault.

Please check your ethernet and wi-fi card's specification to see what it is capable of providing and go to the Device Manager to see if it is working properly and/or its drivers need updating. If this card is not delivering its specified performance, it may need replacing.

That being said, I believe its something alienware is doing that is preventing the upload speed from reaching maximum performance. Which is why i came here

Sorry, didn't see this message. Previous messages haven't been that useful
-This pc is 1 week old.
-SmartByte isn't installed I'm pretty sure as I checked installed programs, attempted to search for it in the uninstall window etc. It didn't appear.
-My download speeds are as expected
-My upload speeds are struggling to reach par on both ethernet and wifi. Despite my other laptop, phone and my family laptops and pc easily reaching the mark.

In event viewer I see nothing critical. Errors seem to be normal albeit I may be wrong. (23 or so in the last 4 hours)
